2026-01-20 - Behavior change affecting Java

Please do NOT upgrade to the following specific versions of Java that were released on January 20th, 2026, unless you are running a version of Tungsten noted in the table above:

• 25.0.2
• 21.0.10+8
• 17.0.18+8
• 11.0.30+7
• 1.8.0_481-b10

Any version prior to those listed above are safe and unaffected.

These releases of Java changed the default behavior of RMI communication, critical for Tungsten components internal communications. As a result, this behavior change will prevent components from operating correctly.

If you have already upgraded, please contact Continuent Support ASAP.

Should you need to upgrade, please ensure your Tungsten version is at least v7.2.1 in the v7 series, and v8.0.3 in the v8 series. If you need further clarification, please reach out through our usual support channels.
