5.1.3. TPM Parameters for Oracle Extraction

For a full list of all available TPM Configuration parameters, See Section 10.8, “tpm Configuration Options”

This section details specific tpm options that are applicable to Oracle Extractor Installs, along with default values, and details of why/when you may need to change them.

Parameter Description Values Default
datasource-oracle-service The TNS Service Name for the Source Database
datasource-oracle-service-group

The name of the operating system group that Oracle OS users should be a member of.

If this value cannot be determined or is not set properly, the Tungsten Replicator will be unable to access the necessary Oracle tools.

The tungsten OS user should also be a member of this group

  oinstall
datasource-oracle-service-user

The name of the operating system user that has been configured with access to the Oracle tools.

If this value cannot be determined or is not set properly, the Tungsten Replicator will be unable to access the necessary Oracle tools.

  oracle
datasource-type Specifies the source DB type mysql, oracle mysql
install-oracle-redo-reader Enable or disable installation of the Redo Reader true, false

false if cdc

true if redo

master

For Onboard installations, this should be set to the hostname of the Oracle Source DB

For all Off-Board and RAC installations, this should be set to the hostname of the Off-Board host

members Comma Separated list of master and target hosts
oracle-extractor-method

Specify whether to use the Redo Reader or older CDC style extraction

CDC can only be used with Oracle versions upto, and including, 11g

redo, cdc redo
oracle-redo-asm-home

Home directory for the Oracle ASM files. This is required for Oracle RAC installations, or Oracle installations where the ASM files are not located with the default Oracle home directory location.

oracle-redo-fetcher-host

For RAC and Offboard with FETCHER installs, this value should be set to the hostname of the Oracle Source DB Host where the FETCHER process will be installed.

For RAC Installs this needs to be the RAC Node that will have the active FETCHER process initially installed

oracle-redo-fetcher-port

The Port to use for the Redo Reader FETCHER Process

Note: Only needed for RAC and Off-Board with FETCHER installations

oracle-redo-replicate-tables

Comma separated list of <SCHEMA> and/or <SCHEMA>.<TABLE> to be replicated

Note: This is ONLY required during installation.

See See Section 5.1.7, “Changing the Configured Replication Objects” to modify this list after install

oracle-redo-temp-tablespace The Temporary tablespace that will be set as the default for the oracle-redo-user user   TEMP
oracle-redo-user The User that will be created during installation to manage the Redo Reader Tracking Schema   ORARRUSER
